Namajunas and Barry met at Duke Roufus’ gym, where Barry started training after losing his home Hurricane Katrina in 2005, while Rose Namajunas started training during her high school level.
In a media engagement, Pat Barry revealed that he has been dating Rose Namajunas for almost five years now. He mentioned that he fell in love with her the first day he saw her.

Why did Rose shave her head?
Rose Namajunas explained that she shaved her hair because it was a thing in the way and almost like a distraction from her confidence. She also stated that “once I did cut off my hair, it actually gave me more confidence because I was able to see my face”.
