What happened to Robin Thicke’s career?

Robin Thicke’s career has gone through a rough patch. Although in 2013, Robin Thicke suddenly gained overnight prominence with “Blurred Lines,” (a funk smash that sold 10 million copies and spent 12 weeks atop Billboard’s Hot 100), public opinion turned on him.

Robin Thicke’s song, especially the lyrics, “I know you want it” was branded ‘misogynistic’ and regarded as an example of toxic masculinity. Robin Thicke’s wife of 21 years, Paula Patton later filed for divorce in 2014, and his heartbreak album named after his ex-spouse tanked performed miserably following its release.

Robin Thicke was slammed more after his raunchy MTV Video Music Awards performance with Miley Cyrus, which went on to become the most tweeted about event in history. Robin got cancelled and stepped down from the spotlight.

Robin Thicke lost his father, Alan unexpectedly at age 69. He died playing hockey in Burbank with Robin’s younger half-brother. A year later, Thicke’s manager and longtime friend Jordan Feldstein died of a heart attack at 40. He made the news again following a must publicised lawsuit where Marvin Gaye’s estate claimed he and Pharrell had ripped off his 1977 hit, Got to Give It Up.

The estate was ultimately awarded £3.6million. Robin Thicke lost his home and everything in Malibu after it burned down in the Woolsey wildfires in November 2018. Robin Thicke is currently on a journey to revive himself and is currently a judge on the Fox musical competition show The Masked Singer.

👍 yes a one hit wonder! Sure does shows his lack of tolerance but the liberals don’t have it. Just what THEY think we should abide it. Be not goes one way for them. I WILL NOT watch that program. It’s stupid.
