Is Reese McGuire Related To Mark McGuire?

Reece McGuire is not related to former baseball first baseman, Mark McGuire.

Mark was born in the Los Angeles suburb of Pomona, California, to a dentist father.

He had his high school education at Damien High School in La Verne, California.

As an high school student,  he played baseball, golf, and basketball.

He proceeded to the University of Southern California, where he played baseball alongside the likes of Randy Johnson and Jack Del Rio.

Mark’s career lasted from 1986 to 2001 and he played for the Oakland Athletics and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Reece McGuire Education

Born on March 2, 1995, Reese was schooled at Kentwood High School in Covington, Washington.

As an high school student, he played baseball for his school, representing the United States in most competitions.

He clinched the “Player of the Year” title during the International Baseball Federation 18-and-under Baseball World Championship.

He later proceeded to the University of San Diego, where he played college baseball for the San Diego Toreros.

Reese McGuire Career

Reece currently plays for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB).

The Pittsburgh Pirates had drafted him in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft but was later traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2016.

Reece was traded by the Blue Jays to the Chicago White Sox on April 3, 2022.
