The Ram Mandir is a Hindu temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is located at the site believed to be the birthplace of Lord Rama, the hero of Ramayana regarded as an incarnation of God Vishnu by the Hindus. On 5 August 2020, the Bhumi Pujan (transl. groundbreaking ceremony) for the commencement of the construction of Ram Mandir was performed by Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.

Is Ram Mandir in Ayodhya completed?

Ayodhya Ram Mandir Opening: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed saints and religious leaders who arrived in Ayodhya. Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir consecration ceremony (Pran Pratishtha) has now been completed after PM Modi led the rituals, with saints and seers guiding the ceremony.

Earlier, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand of Uttarakhand’s Jyotish Peeth said that the ‘pran pratishtha’ of the Ram Temple is being conducted in an incomplete temple which is against religious scriptures.

The temple’s groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 5, 2020, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing the rituals. The temple, supervised by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, is scheduled to be inaugurated on January 22, 2024.
