Noddy Holder is an English musician, composer, and actor who was born on June 15, 1946. He played rhythm guitar and lead vocals for the English rock band Slade, one of the most popular acts in the UK throughout the 1970s.

Holder, who is well-known for his distinctive and powerful voice, collaborated with bassist Jim Lea on the majority of Slade’s songs, including “Mama Weer All Crazee Now,” “Cum On Feel the Noize,” and “Merry Xmas Everybody.”

He ventured into radio and television after leaving Slade in 1992, notably starring in the ITV comedy-drama series The Grimleys (1999-2001). Holder departed Slade in 1992 after 26 years with the band in order to pursue a career outside of music, working frequently as a radio host, television personality, actor, and voice-over artist.
