De’Anthony Melton is a basketball player who plays the point guard/shooting guard position for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Born on May 28, 1998, in California, Melton played college basketball for the USC Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference.

While in college, he played in 36 games as a freshman, and averaged 8.3 points, 3.5 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game.

In 2018, Melton was drafted by the Houston Rockets as 46th overall in the second round of the NBA draft.

While he was with the Rockets, Melton recorded 16.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game, in five games, during the 2018 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

Melton was traded to the Phoenix Suns before the start his rookie season, and played for one season with the Suns.  He was then traded again to the Memphis Grizzlies, where he spent three seasons.

During the 2022 off-season, the Memphis traded Melton to the 76ers in exchange for Danny Green.
