According to an article released in 2002, Lyle Lovett sustained an injury while trying to help his uncle named Calvin Klein (not the popular fashion designer), “who was flipped by the bull while working on his ranch north of Houston. Lovett apparently was pinned between the bull’s head and a fence,” sources report.
He was set to be at the hospital for almost 6 months to recover from injuries sustained when the bull trampled him. He underwent surgery at the Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston to repair “a crash injury to the top part of his shin bone just below the knee that extends for six to eight inches.”
