Former American football player Luke August Kuechly, better known by his stage name Luke Kuechly, played for the National Football League’s (NFL) Carolina Panthers. He made his NFL debut in 2012 as a middle linebacker for the Carolina Panthers.

He spent approximately 8 seasons as a Panthers representative. They selected Kuechly with the ninth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. In 2013, his second season playing for the Panthers, he was named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year.

In his career, he has made 1092 tackles in total. Kuechly agreed to a four-year, $12.58 million contract with the Panthers in 2012. He agreed to a five-year contract extension in 2015, bringing his career earnings between that year and 2020 to $63 million.

The Carolina Panthers drafted him with the ninth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. In his first year of eligibility, Kuechly joins 21 other inductees to the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

What does Luke Kuechly do now?

Kuechly worked for the Panthers as a pro scout following his retirement. Later, he became a member of their commentary and analysis team for broadcasts. Alongside Greg Olsen, he is also mentoring young football players, solidifying his post-NFL reputation.
