Krysten Ritter’s audition for a Dr Pepper television commercial aided Ritter’s transition into acting. Her “outgoing, bubbly, and funny” stage presence had impressed the casting directors, she told Philadelphia Style.
She began appearing in films as a bit part in 2001, and in 2003, she played a 1950s art history student in Mona Lisa Smile.

Before venturing into acting, Krysten Ritter was a model. Krysten Ritter was discovered by a modelling agent at the Wyoming Valley Mall when she was 15 years old. Ritter modelled in New York and Philadelphia while still in high school.
Krysten Ritter signed with Wilhelmina Models and Elite Model Management, and after moving to New York City, she began appearing in international ads and modelling for catalogues, magazines, and runway shows in New York, Tokyo, Milan, and Paris.
