Memphis guard Kendric Davis is projected to be a potential second-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He earlier earned a spot at the NBA draft combine after a standout showing at the G League Elite Camp in May 2023.

In the G League scrimmages, Kendric Davis averaged 12 points and 5.5 assists. Kendric Davis is an American college basketball player for the Memphis Tigers of the American Athletic Conference.

In his junior season debut on November 25, 2020, Kendric Davis scored a career-high 33 points in a 97–67 win against Sam Houston State. On January 7, 2021, Davis set an AAC record with 14 assists while scoring 14 points in a 76–69 loss to Cincinnati.

At the conclusion of the 2021–22 season, Kendric Davis was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Year. He averaged 19.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game while shooting 37.2% from three-point range.
Following the season, Kendric Davis transferred to the University of Memphis for his final season of eligibility. On January 23, 2023, he scored 26 points in an 80–68 win against Tulsa and surpassed the 2,000-point threshold.
