Keke Palmer is not related to Queen Latifa. Keke Palmer only has a relationship with Queen Latifah because she saw her breakthrough via her acting career when she debuted in Barbershop 2: Back in Business in 2004 as Queen Latifah’s niece.

Keke Palmer received recognition for her roles on Nickelodeon, such as portraying the title character in the sitcom, True Jackson, VP (2008-2011), providing the voice of Aisha in the Nickelodeon revival of Winz Club (2011-2014), and healing the television film Rags.

Aside from acting, she works with Boys and Girls Clubs of the American charity Cool to Be Smart program, speaking to children about the importance of learning.

Palmer is also a supporter of Urban Farming and the Girls Scouts. She has worked with such charities as the YWCA and Saving Our Daughters.

As of 2010, Palmer has been a representative for the Saving Our Daughters project an anti-bullying campaign.
