After a decade-long tenure at BBC Radio 1, popular radio DJ and television presenter Jordan Levi North bid farewell to the station, marking the end of an era for the beloved broadcaster.

Jordan North, known for his energetic and engaging presence on the airwaves, had been a fixture at Radio 1 since his early days in broadcasting.
Over the years, he had endeared himself to listeners with his charismatic style and vibrant personality, particularly as the host of the drivetime show since 2021.
However, on 16th February 2024, news broke that Jordan North would be departing Radio 1, signaling a significant change for both the station and its loyal audience.
The announcement came as a surprise to many fans who had grown accustomed to tuning in to North’s dynamic broadcasts.

Reflecting on his departure, Jordan expressed his excitement for the next chapter in his career, revealing that he had accepted an offer to join rival station Capital FM.
He described the opportunity to host Capital Breakfast as a dream come true, emphasizing that it was an offer he couldn’t refuse.
Joining forces with co-hosts Chris Stark and Sian Welby, Jordan is set to bring his signature energy and enthusiasm to the Capital FM airwaves starting in April.
Additionally, Capital confirmed that he would have the honor of hosting its prestigious Summertime Ball in June 2024, further solidifying his new role at the station.
