Is Joel Grey LGBTQ? – Joel Grey acknowledged his sexuality in an interview with People in January 2015, confirming that he is gay.

He stated:

“I don’t like labels, but if you have to put a label on it, I’m a gay man.”

He made this revelation at the age of 82.

Grey revealed in his 2016 memoir “Master of Ceremonies” that he was drawn to guys when he was younger but felt it would be too hazardous to admit that he wanted to be gay at the time.

He also revealed in the memoir that he had some relationships with boys when he was younger.

In the memoir, he wrote about his family, acting career, and the challenges of being gay.

Gret put aside his homosexual tendencies and married fellow actress Jo Wilder in 1958. However, after 24 years of marriage, they divorced in 1982.

They have two children: Jennifer Grey (from the film Dirty Dancing) and chef James Grey.

Grey did not remarry following his divorce.
