Jerry Jones is the owner, president and General Manager of the Dallas Cowboys. Jones purchased the Cowboys from team owner and friend H.R. “Bum” Bright for $140 million in 1989, the largest deal for an NFL team at the time.

Jones and his wife Gene own 51% of the Cowboys, with their three adult children sharing the remaining 49 %, according to D magazine in 2019. His sons and daughter are also active participants in all other family endeavours.

Jones transformed the Dallas Cowboys into one of the most successful NFL franchises of all time after purchasing the team. He didn’t take long to make his mark on the team. In 1992 and 1993, the Cowboys won back-to-back Super Bowls.
