Jesse Lee Soffer (born April 23, 1984) is an American actor. He is known for portraying Will Munson on the CBS soap opera As the World Turns and received three Emmy nominations for his work on the show.

From 2014 to 2022, he starred as Jay Halstead on the NBC drama Chicago P.D. and guest-starred on Chicago P.D.

Leaving fans heartbroken over Halstead’s fate and the actor grateful for the viewers who watched him play the beloved character for more than nine seasons.
He explained that in the wake of what happened to Upton at the end of Season 8, Anna’s death, and Voight’s ultimatum at the beginning of Season 10, he’s not comfortable with the grey areas that have come with his police work.
