Ichiro Suzuki became the 30th player in MLB history to record his 3,000th hit against Chris Rusin of the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in 2016.

In total, he finished his professional career in Japan and the United States with 4,367 hits, the most of any player in baseball history.

Ichiro Suzuki was the first Major League Baseball player to be inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.

Ichiro Suzuki won a Rawlings Gold Glove Award in each of his first ten years in the majors and had seven hitting streaks of 20 or more games, with a high of 27.

Ichiro Suzuki was also noted for his career longevity, continuing to produce at a high level with slugging and on-base percentages above.300 in 2016, despite being 43 years old.
