TV star Hoda Kotb stepped down as presenter of Today Show and has been replaced by Craig Melvin.

Kotb had to exit the show to pay adequate attention to her daughters and other family matters.

Who Is Hoda Kotb?

Hoda Kotb is a broadcast journalist, TV presenter, and author, who co-hosts the NBC News morning show Today.

Born on August 9, 1964, in Norman, Oklahoma, Kotb attended Fort Hunt High School back in the 80s.

She later graduated from Virginia Tech, with a degree in broadcast journalism, and served as a member of the school’s Alumni Association Board of Directors for three terms.

Kotb began her career journey working for WXVT, a CBS affiliate in Greenville, Mississippi.

She later worked for WQAD in Moline, WINK and WWL.

Kotb has also been a correspondent for the TV news magazine program Dateline NBC.

Kotb is a best-selling author of the autobiography, Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer, and Kathie Lee.

In 2018, she was named amongst the 100 Most Influential People by Times Magazine.

Kotb has won several awards for her role in journalism, including a Daytime Emmy Award and the Matrix Award.
