Is Gram Parsons in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? When Did Gram Parsons Meet the Rolling Stones?

In 1968, he became a member of The Byrds, a pivotal moment in the evolution of the iconic band. However, the twist of fate that often accompanies great artists meant that Parsons was not part of the lineup that entered the hallowed halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an institution that honors the most influential figures in the world of music, has yet to formally induct Gram Parsons. Even though he wasn’t part of The Byrds’ lineup during their induction, Parsons’ solo career and impact on the country rock genre make a compelling case for his inclusion among the celebrated names in the Hall of Fame.

When Did Gram Parsons Meet the Rolling Stones?

Richards pulled the soul out of this music and incorporated it in just about everything since his fateful meeting with Parsons in England, in 1968. Gram Parsons died in the high desert of Joshua Tree Monument on September 19, 1973. The Rolling Stones were playing the Odeon, Birmingham, UK show that day.
