Is Ginger Zee leaving GMC?

Ginger Renee Colonomos, better known by her stage name Ginger Zee, is ABC News’ chief meteorologist.

Zee is a 41-year-old Valparaiso University graduate who was born on January 13, 1981.
After Sam Champion left GMA for the Weather Channel in December 2013, Zee took over as Chief Meteorologist. Zee was last seen on GMA on April 5, 2022.

It’s still unclear why she was not seen on the show, as neither she nor ABC has commented on the situation. However, from the post zee made on Instagram on April 10 2022, it appears that she is not leaving GMA anytime soon.

Zee captioned the post as “I jumped off social media for [a] week to have a healthy break— it was a busy week filled with much-needed family time, and a family reunion we never could have imagined would come to fruition. “See you all back on GMA tomorrow — I’m feeling grateful,”

It appears that we might be seeing Zee on our screens again very soon.

Zee previously took a break last year October to work from home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
