Cadeau began his high school career at Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey, where he played for the school basketball team.

As a freshman, he was the team’s starting point guard averaging 11.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game and leading his team to a 7–2 record.

After being named to the MaxPreps Freshman All-American First Team, Cadeau missed his sophomore season following the high ankle sprain injury he suffered during a match against Gill St. Bernard’s School in December 2021.

Cadeau transferred to Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, ahead of his junior year.
