He finished his career with 424 home runs and 1,261 RBIs, which is very good for a power bat and better than many slugging Hall of Famers, but he was not a multi-dimensional player, which will keep him out of Cooperstown.

Edwin Encarnación made his MLB debut in 2005 with the Cincinnati Reds. He is best known for his time with the Toronto Blue Jays, where he became a fan favorite and one of the franchise’s most prolific power hitters.

Encarnación’s time with the Blue Jays, particularly during the late 2000s and early 2010s, was marked by his consistent ability to hit home runs and drive in runs. He formed a part of Toronto’s formidable lineup, known colloquially as the “Bringer of Rain,” alongside fellow power hitter José Bautista.

He also played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays, Cleveland Indians, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, and Chicago White Sox. Encarnación is a three-time All-Star.
