Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin no longer has a stake in the company, Facebook.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had cut off Saverin from the company since 2012 due to financial mismanagement.

Who Is Eduardo Saverin?

Eduardo Saverin is a Singapore-based entrepreneur, investor and co-founder of social media giant Facebook.

Born on March 19, 1982, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Saverin graduated from Harvard University, where he was President of the Harvard Investment Association.

As an Harvard undergraduate Saverin was known for predicting hurricane patterns and investing in oil and gas. He later graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in economics.

Saverin and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg had been friends from Harvard, and as of 2012, Saverin owned 53 million Facebook shares. He also invested in a couple of startup businesses like Qwiki and Jumio.

As co-founder of Facebook, Saverin became chief financial officer and business manager of the company until 2012.

Saverin is also a co-founder of the charity online portal, Aporta. In 2015, he launched his investment firm, B Capital, in Southeast Asia and India.

The film The Social Network is based on the business life of Saverin and his business partners, with actor Andrew Garfield, appearing as Saverin.
