Dmytro Shurov, a Ukrainian X-Factor judge from seasons 8 and 9, snatched a contestant’s guitar and smashed it on stage after declaring that he didn’t like the performer’s song and melodies.

Juri Hancurkan, the contestant who was hurt in the incident, began to cry. The guitar, he later revealed, was a gift from his late father. The show’s episode aired in April last year, but it’s gaining traction on social media now.

It’s unclear what steps were taken against Shurov, or whether he was fired from the show Shurov has made no public statement in response to his actions.
Dmitry Shurov is a pianist, composer, singer, and songwriter from Ukraine. The 40-year-old from Kyiv served as a judge on Seasons 8 and 9 of the Ukrainian X-Factor.
Before attending Kyiv National Linguistic University in Ukraine, the musician studied in Limoges, France, and Utah, United States.
