Canadian professional ice hockey player Daniel Nurse and Sarah Nurse who is also a professional ice hockey player are cousins. They come from a family with a strong athletic background.

In addition to Sarah and Darnell, their family also includes several other notable athletes, including their cousin, Donovan McNabb, a former NFL quarterback, and their aunt, Raquel McNabb, a former basketball player.
Sarah Nurse currently plays for the Canadian women’s national ice hockey team. The Toronto Furies selected Nurse second overall in the 2018 CWHL Draft.

Sarah Nurse made her national team debut at the 2015 4 Nations Cup. She won a silver medal in the 2018 Winter Olympics while representing Canada.
Her success continued when she scored the opening goal in Team Canada’s 3-2 victory over the United States in the 2022 Gold Medal game.
Sarah and Darnell have both spoken about their close relationship and the support they give each other in their respective hockey careers.
