Dan Clancy, an accomplished American technologist, and computer scientist, embarked on his tech journey with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science and theatre from Duke University in 1985.

After a stint at NASA, Clancy became a key figure at Google, serving as the engineering director for Google Book Search from 2005 to 2014.

Following this, he held the position of Vice President of product and engineering at Nextdoor from 2014 to 2018.
In 2019, Clancy assumed the role of President of Twitch Interactive, the parent company of the widely popular live streaming platform, Twitch.
His trajectory reached new heights in 2023 when he became the CEO of Twitch, succeeding Emmett Shear.
Clancy’s leadership included tough decisions, such as announcing layoffs affecting 400 Twitch employees, as part of a broader Amazon-wide restructuring impacting 9000 workers.
