Christine McVie, an English musician, vocalits and keyboardist of Fleetwood Mac has died. McVie was born on 12 July 1943 and died on 30 November 2022. She was 79 years.

According to statement posted by her family on her vefied Instagram account, she died in a hospital after a short illness.
The statement issued by her family reads:

On behalf of Christine McVie’s family, it is with a heavy heart we are informing you of Christine’s death. She passed away peacefully at hospital this morning, Wednesday, November 30th 2022, following a short illness.
“She was in the company of her family.”

“We kindly ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this extremely painful time, and we would like everyone to keep Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and revered musician who was loved universally.”
McVie joined Fleetwood mac in 1970 after her marriage with the band’s bassist John McVie.
She was one of eight members of the band inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
Her personal accolades includes:
- In 2006, she received a Gold Badge of Merit Award from Basca, now The Ivors Academy,
- In 2014, she received the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors and was honoured with the Trailblazer Award at the UK Americana Awards in 2021.
- She was the recipient of two Grammy Awards.
