Who Is Brett Ratner?

Brett Ratner is a film director and producer known for producing the blockbuster series Prison Break the Rush Hour film series, The Family Man, Red Dragon, X-Men: The Last Stand, and Tower Heist.

Born on March 28, 1969, Ratner attended New York University and appeared on the MTV series Punk’d as well as the TV series Entourage.

Ratner began his career as a director with music videos as far back as 1990. He made his directorial debut with the 1997 film Money Talks, which made over $2 billion at the global box office.

Since then Ratner has produced several TV series, and documentary films. Some of his works include Prison Break, American Masters: Woody Allen – A Documentary; Horrible Bosses, Snow White (remake), Mirror Mirror, Rush Hour, and many more.

Ratner co-founded RatPac Entertainment, which bagged a production deal with Warner Bros in 2013.

Ratner’s works has earned him 59 Academy Awards nominations, 25 Golden Globes nominations, 43 BAFTA nominations.

He has also won 25 Academy Awards, 8 Golden Globes Awards and 24 BAFTA Awards.

For his contribution to the movie industry, Ratner earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017.
