Bobby Wagner is still a free agent. Wagner, 31, was released by the Seahawks as he entered the final year of a three-year contract worth an average of $18 million. The Seahawks saved $16.6 million against the salary cap in 2022 as a result of the move.

Wagner had 1,383 tackles during his 10-year career with the Seahawks after being selected in the second round of the 2012 draft out of Utah State. Wagner also appeared in eight Pro Bowls, including one in 2021, and was named a first-team All-Pro six times.

The Los Angeles Rams announced Thursday that All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner had agreed to a five-year contract extension. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the deal is worth up to $65 million.

Wagner visited Los Angeles a little more than a week ago as he continued his search for a new NFL home after being released by the Seattle Seahawks earlier this month. While Wagner ultimately chose to sign with the Rams, cornerback Richard Sherman reports that the Baltimore Ravens made a last-minute push to sign the 31-year-old.
