Is Bo Diddley still alive?
Bo Diddley is no longer alive. Bo Diddley died of heart failure on June 2, 2008, at the age of 79, at his home in Archer, Florida. Garry Mitchell, the musician’s grandson and one of more than thirty-five family members there when he died at 1:45 a.m. EDT, claimed his death was not unexpected.
After being asked to explain the scenario at the deathbed, Mitchell told Reuters, “There was a gospel hymn that was sung at his bedside and when it was done he said ‘wow’ with a thumbs up.” “The song was ‘Walk Around Heaven,’ and he said in his final words that he was going to heaven.”
