Is Barbie Ferreira Leaving Euphoria?

Barbie Ferreira is an American model and entertainer. She is most popular for her role as Kat Hernandez in the HBO series Euphoria (2019-2022).

Ferreira, who plays Kat on the show, announced the news on her Instagram Story on Wednesday, August 24 2022, saying she will not be returning for the show’s third season.

“After four years of getting to embody the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I’m having to say a very teary-eyed goodbye,” Ferreira wrote.

She continued, “I hope many of you could see yourself in her as I did and that she brought you joy to see her journey into the character she is today.

I put all my care and love into her and I hope you guys could feel it. Love you, Katherine Hernandez.”

Barbie Ferreira’s departure from the show follows rumours of on-set conflict between the actress and the series writer/director, Sam Levinson.

Barbie Ferreira reportedly spoke with Levinson about the direction her character was taking, explaining her dissatisfaction with the story; however, the conversation went south, resulting in the actress storming off set and Levinson ultimately cutting back her scenes on the show.
