Alexis Arquette was born on July 28, 1969, in Los Angeles, California, the United States as the fourth of five children born to Lewis Arquette and Brenda Olivia “Mardi” Nowak. Her father Lewis Arquette is an actor and director while her mother Brenda Olivia was a Jewish actress, poet, theatre operator, activist, teacher, and therapist.

Alexis Arquette was raised alongside actors Rosanna, Richmond, Patricia, and David Arquette. She made her debut on the big screen in 1986 in an uncredited role as Alexis in Down and Out in Beverly Hills.

Alexis Arquette later starred in several other movies, including I Think I Do, Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror, Sometimes They Come Back, Jumpin’ at the Boneyard, and Killer Drag Queens on Dope. She, however, contracted HIV in 1987and had suffered ill health as a result.

Alexis Arquette had been later placed in a medically induced coma. She passed away on September 11, 2016, at the age of 47. The official cause of her death was cardiac arrest following myocarditis from HIV.
