Albert Pujols is a professional baseball first baseman and designated hitter for the St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Baseball (MLB). Over the years, he has played for St. Louis Cardinals (2001–2011; 2022–present), Los Angeles Angels[a] (2012–2021) and Los Angeles Dodgers (2021).

Albert Pujols is the oldest active MLB player as of 2022. He was selected by the Cardinals in the 13th round of the 1999 MLB draft. He played his first 11 seasons in MLB for the Cardinals and played with the Los Angeles Angels for more than nine seasons.

Albert Pujols was born José Alberto Pujols Alcántara in Dominica but raised in New York. Albert Pujols was a three-time National League (NL) Most Valuable Player (MVP) (2005, 2008, 2009) as well as a nine-time All-Star (2001, 2003–2010) while with the St. Louis Cardinals.
