British actor, Adeel Akhtar is not a lawyer per se, however, he originally completed a degree in law from Oxford Brookes University in 2002 but decided to follow his passion and change to acting.

He trained at the Actors Studio Drama School and then at The New School in New York. Akhtar started his career in 2010 when he starred in Four Lions by Chris Morris. Some of the movies and tv shows he featured in during the early stages of his career include The Angelos Epithemiou, The Dictator, Pan, and more.

He starred in Channel 4’s Utopia as Wilson Wilson and bagged a nomination for BAFTA for Best Supporting Actor in 2015. Akhtar also starred in Capital, River, and more, that same year.
Akhtar appeared in the American romantic comedy film The Big Sick and played the role of the protagonist’s brother, Naveed. He also played in the BBC series The Night Manager.
