Begu has won four singles titles and nine doubles titles on the WTA Tour and has also has won one singles title on the WTA 125K series, as well as 12 singles and 19 doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.
As a junior, she reached semifinal at the 2007 Wimbledon Championships, partnering with Oksana Kalashnikova and won her first singles junior title at the Grade-2 Raquette D’Or in Mohammedia in June 2006.
