About Ioannis Papapetrou

Ioannis Papapetrou is a versatile player who plays both as a small forward and a power forward for Panathinaikos of the Greek Basket League and the EuroLeague.

Papapetrou first played with Panathinaikos in 2018, following a three-year contract. With the team, he won his first title during the Greek Cup Final in 2019.

Papapetrou additionally played for Olympiacos, and Partizan Belgrade, where he averaged 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 20 minutes per game. He had also helped Partizan to win the ABA League championship trophy in the 2022–23 season.

In 2023, Papapetrou made a comeback to Panathinaikos and signed a two-year deal.

On the international front, Papapetrou has represented the Greek national team in several competitions since 2009.

He has played at the FIBA Europe Championship, the Turin FIBA World Olympic Qualifying Tournament, the EuroBasket, and the FIBA World Cup qualification.
