Responding to this in a statement, Intuit said it admitted no wrongdoing as part of the agreement and it expects minimal impact to its business from the changes demanded in future.

Who qualifies for TurboTax settlement?

Those who qualify for TurboTax are customers who started using TurboTax’s Free edition for tax years 2016 through 2018 and were told they had to pay to file even though they were eligible to do so for free through IRS Free File program offered by TurboTax.
