Walorski and two others riding in the same southbound SUV died in the head-on collision with another vehicle, whose driver and only occupant also died
“It is with a heavy heart that I share this statement from the Office of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski,” Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said on Twitter on Wednesday.

“The Elkhart County Sheriff’s office just informed Dean Swihart, Jackie’s husband, that Jackie was killed in a car accident this afternoon,”
“She has returned home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” the statement goes on to say. “Please keep her family in your prayers and thoughts. We will make no additional comments at this time.”
The Elkhart County Coroner’s Office and the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the crash.
