Nigerian Filmmaker, Imoh Umoren, has disclosed that he has been battling the coronavirus disease after been asked by a fan why he has been off social media for some time.

The award-winning filmmaker who seems to be a dedicated social media user has been off for some time now, therefore, it was quite alarming to not seeing any of his posts lately.
A concerned Twitter user with the handle, @FtMourinho asked;
”@ImohUmoren, good day sir. Hope you are well? Haven’t seen your tweets in a while.”
Umoren replied, “Dying of COVID complications. BRB.”
Other celebrities and social media users reached out to extend their good wishes to him and wished him a speedy recovery.
Umoren is most notable for making independent films, with one of his most popular ones being, ‘Children of Mud.’ He is considered the first filmmaker to make a silent black and white film in the Nollywood industry.
