Im Sung-jae Parents: Meet Im Ji-taek and Kim Mi

Im Sung-jae is a South Korean professional golfer. Im Sung-jae was born on 30 March 1998 to Im Ji-taek and Kim Mi. Im Sung-jae’s parents have always supported their son’s career.

Im Sung-jae grew up on golf-crazed Jeju Island and began playing golf when he was four years old after following his mother to an indoor practice facility. Im Sung-jae beat his father for the first time four years later.

His parents are one of the reasons he is so successful in golf. Their love and support for his passion for the game are undeniable.

In the 2018 and 2019 seasons, they escorted him to every tournament on the Korn Ferry Tour and the PGA Tour.

In 2015, I became a professional. He competed on the Japan Golf Tour in 2016 and 2017, finishing as co-runner-up in the 2017 Mynavi ABC Championship.

Im Sung-jae won the Shriners Children’s Open at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 10, 2021, his second PGA Tour title in his 100th appearance.
