Ibrahima Konaté is a footballer who plays the centre-back position for Premier League club Liverpool, as well as the France national team.

Born on May 25, 1999, in France, Konate began playing for Paris FC youth teams as a teenager, playing as a striker.
In 2017, he joined Sochaux, and later moved to RB Leipzig, on a five-year contract by free transfer, but played for four seasons.
In 2021, Liverpool signed him in for a fee of £36 million. Konate went on to win the EFL Cup and FA Cup in his first season.
In April 2022, Konaté scored his first goal for Liverpool, when the team played against Benfica during the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. He however didn’t play at the start of the 2022–23 season due to injury.

On the international front, Konate played in the France national team during the UEFA Nations League, and became a part of the Didier Deschamps’s squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
