Ian Tyson Health: How Is Ian Tyson Doing?

Canadian singer and songwriter, Ian Tyson has been reported dead. His death was announced by his family. According to them, he died at home. He died at his ranch in Southern Alberta on Thursday, December 29, 2022.

He was 89 years old when he died.

“Tyson was born to British immigrants in Victoria and grew up in Duncan B.C. A rough stock rider in his late teens and early twenties, he took up the guitar while recovering from an injury he sustained in a bad fall in the rodeo,” the statement issued by the family read.

According to sources, he died after fighting for his health for quite a long time. Ian was a good pair with his ex-wife Sylvia.

“During the British Invasion in the 1960s, Ian and his wife Sylvia evolved into pioneers of country rock. Their band, Great Speckled Bird, rivaled the Byrds and other groups which helped create a modern country, a decade before the Urban Cowboy phase of contemporary new traditionalists,” sources said.
