‘I Wrote The ‘Aye’ Hit Song For Davido’ Runtown Reveals

Runtown has revealed on social media that he is the one behind Davido’s ‘Aye’ hit song.

According to Douglas Jack Agu, better known by his stage name Runtown, he wrote and co-produced the ‘Aye’ hit song for Davido.

The ‘Aye’ song was released on February 1, 2014, and became a hit across Africa. The song has garnered 62,931,074 views on YouTube as of the time of writing this article.

Runtown revealed this during a question and answer session with his fans on Twitter, and one of the fans asked for confirmation on who actually wrote the song as it has emerged that someone’s ingenuity was behind it.

The ‘Mad Over You’ hitmaker said emphatically that he was the one who wrote and co-produced it while adding that there’s nothing wrong with an artist to write a song for a colleague.

“I wrote it. And also co-produced it. Nothing wrong in using song writers if you write song for me and I like am I go sing am.” He tweeted.
