He expressed his intention to make it prohibitively expensive for corrupt political appointees to abuse their power dishonestly.

Mr. Kyerematen made this statement at the launch of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change in Accra, describing it as a pivotal moment in the political narrative of the country.

He emphasized that the historical importance of the event wasn’t merely the consolidation of political parties, but rather a process that would shape the framework of political collaboration in the country, potentially culminating in the election of the first independent candidate as President of Ghana.

He stated that the Alliance would pave the way for the formation of the first truly representative government in Ghana’s history, characterized by a government of national unity comprising representatives from diverse political parties, business communities, labor unions, civil society organizations (CSOs), professional groups, faith-based organizations, traditional authorities, and other interest groups.

Mr. Kyerematen remarked that never before in the history of the country had there been such a compelling case for change and transformation across all aspects of national life, thus the name “Revolutionary Change”.

He highlighted that after 67 years of independence, the country still grapples with high unemployment, widespread and reckless exploitation of natural resources, and a dire state of infrastructure, encompassing roads, railway networks, energy, water, and sanitation, among other areas.

He emphasized that the only solution to addressing these challenges was the election of a new type of leadership, such as himself, committed to implementing transformational policies and empowering the private sector to become the primary driver of growth.

Mr. Kyerematen further stated that the Alliance aimed to break the dominance of the NDC and the NPP, the two main political parties, which had proven inadequate in addressing the fundamental development challenges of the country.
