I Have Achieved Everything there is to Achieve in Football – Messi

Football icon Lionel Messi has declared that he has accomplished all there is to achieve in the realm of football.

Messi captained Argentina to triumph in the FIFA World Cup held in Qatar 2022, further enhancing his already illustrious trophy cabinet.

It marked his second major international trophy, following his leadership in guiding his country to victory at the 2021 Copa America in Brazil.

Before achieving success in the Copa America and World Cup, Messi experienced heartbreak in earlier major finals.

Messi was a member of the Argentina squads that suffered defeats in the 2014 World Cup final against Germany, as well as in the 2015 and 2016 Copa America finals against Chile.

At club level, Messi secured numerous trophies including LaLiga, UEFA Champions League, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup during his tenure at Barcelona, and later added the Ligue 1 title with Paris Saint-Germain.

Reflecting on his career, Messi now feels he has achieved everything there is to win.

“I won every club trophy with Barcelona, I have won every individual trophy, I finally won the Copa America and now I won the World Cup. I have achieved everything you can achieve in football,” Messi said on ESPN Argentina.
