In his perspective, while he follows the teachings of Jesus Christ, he refrains from identifying as a Christian. Instead, he opts to be recognized as a “Child of God.”
He highlighted that Jesus Christ referred to His followers as “disciples” not “Christians.”
During another interview on Okay FM, the esteemed Afro-Gospel singer elaborated on his views, stating, “A Christian is an individual who belongs to a religious group called Christianity… So I don’t need Christianity to be a Child of God,” thus reinforcing his stance.
