Huw Wheldon served in the British Army with duties in several campaigns, including Normandy, the Ardennes, Germany, and the Middle East. He served from 1940 to 1946.
Huw Wheldon was born on 7th May 1916 in Prestatyn, United Kingdom, and died on 14th March 1986 in Richmond, Brompton on Swale, United Kingdom. He married Jacqueline Wheldon and had three children but only one called Wynn Wheldon is known. He was his wife from 1956 until 1986 when he passed away.

He passed away in 1986 at age 69, after battling cancer for years. After his death, Huw Wheldon’s ashes were spread anonymously in the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew, where he once served as a Trustee.
