Huw Wheldon served in the British Army with duties in several campaigns, including Normandy, the Ardennes, Germany, and the Middle East. He served from 1940 to 1946.

Huw Wheldon was born on 7th May 1916 in Prestatyn, United Kingdom, and died on 14th March 1986 in Richmond, Brompton on Swale, United Kingdom. He was born to his parents, Megan Edwards, and Sir Wynn Wheldon, and married Jacqueline Wheldon.

Huw Wheldon had three children but only one called Wynn Wheldon is known. He was his wife from 1956 until 1986 when he passed away.

Huw Wheldon was an alumnus of Friars School, Bangor, and the London School of Economics.
