Following the incident, the actress claimed she was kicked out by CBS because she had celiac disease.

Also, due to her condition, doctors had advised her to drastically reduce her workload.

Celiac disease is an immune system problem that affects the digestive system and small digestive organs.

Esposito was diagnosed of the disease in 2009.

“It was hard, but it was also the day I realized the person I once knew as ‘me’ was gone,” said Esposito at the time.
