Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, also known as Charlotte of Mecklenburg, was the wife of King George III of the United Kingdom.

Queen Charlotte lived a long life, and she was 74 years old when she passed away on November 17, 1818, at Kew Palace, a royal residence in London.

She had been in poor health for several years leading up to her death, suffering from various health issues, including rheumatism, dropsy, and partial blindness.

Her husband, King George III, had also been experiencing health problems for many years and was struggling with mental illness at the time of her death.

Queen Charlotte was buried in the Royal Vault at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, alongside her husband, King George III, who survived her by several years.

Her legacy continues to be celebrated today, with various institutions and landmarks named in her honour.
