Jodie Foster was born on November 19, 1962. In 1981, she was 18 years old. She started acting at the age of three. Foster had her first T.V. acting role in the sitcom “Mayberry R.F.D.” in 1968 at the age of six.

Jodie Foster earned two Primetime Emmy Awards for producing The Baby Dance (1999), and directing the Orange Is the New Black episode “Lesbian Request Denied” in 2014.

Jodie Foster voiced a character in an episode of Frasier in 1996 and an episode of The X-Files in early 1997. Jodie Foster took on the role of Secretary of Defense Delacourt opposite Matt Damon in the dystopian film Elysium (2013).

Jodie Foster made her directorial film debut with Little Man Tate (1991). She has since directed films such as Home for the Holidays (1995), The Beaver (2011), and Money Monster (2016).
Some of Jodie Foster’s early films include Tom Sawyer (1973), Bugsy Malone (1976), The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane (1976), Carny (1980), and Foxes (1980).
Jodie Foster narrated the episode “Women in Space” (2014) for the PBS documentary series, Makers: Women Who Make America.
